Jodi Bowersox Named CAL's 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award Winner

Jodi Bowersox will receive the Colorado Author League's Lifetime Achievement
Award at the organization's annual celebration of CAL creators in Denver this
summer. The honor was established to recognize the outstanding work, significant
contributions, and distinguished achievements of a League member during a long
and successful career in the publishing arts.
A selection committee composed of past League Presidents said the choice was
clear given the high number of nominations, Bowersox's resume, and her
longstanding commitment to the organization. Bowersox, a past CAL President
herself, was excluded from the voting process.
Bowersox currently wears multiple hats for the League. She serves as CAL's
webmaster, its social media director and as the organization's book racks
coordinator. She says her lifetime of writing got its start in 4-H news reporting, but
she moved on to essays, skits, plays, children's picture books, and award-winning
novels. Under the big umbrella of clean romance she writes in multiple genres
from faith-fiction, to suspense, to time travel, to sci fi. To date, she's penned over
two dozen books.
Her nominators include these descriptions of Bowersox:
"Jodi is a great connector of people, and has provided the elbow grease and effort
for getting books into public spaces such as the Third Space in Colorado Springs.
She continues to volunteer for this, doing the record keeping, payments and other
tasks associated with this volunteer job."
"As a member of CAL, I have always found Jodi approachable and willing to
answer questions. She has not only supported me as an author, but has reached
out with positive encouragement to all authors. She offers new and fresh ideas to
the organization and works to make it better."
"Jodi brings enthusiasm and positivity to everything she does. Not only has the
CAL writing community benefited from her contributions, but the world as a whole.
I highly recommend her for the Lifetime Achievement Award."
Bowersox will be feted in person at the CAL Awards Celebration Sunday, July
19th at the Washington Park Boat House, and virtually via a tribute video that
will be posted on the League's Official YouTube Channel that weekend.
